A: Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® are safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers that replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles. They are often used to correct nasolabial folds, the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth.

A: Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® are dermal fillers made of non-animal-sourced hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the human body that provides volume and fullness to the skin.
Q: How long do Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® last?
A: Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® are proven to deliver long lasting results. Clinical studies have shown that Restylane® and Perlane® can last six to eighteen months. Q: What should patients do prior to treatment?
A: Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® require no pretesting, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John's Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, discuss this with your doctor. He or she may consider prescribing a medication to minimize recurrence.
Q: What can I expect after treatment?
A: Treatments are generally tolerated well. The most common side effects reported are temporary injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, firmness and bruising. Exposure of the treated area to excessive sun and extreme cold should be avoided until any redness or swelling have resolved. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you should not use Restylane®, Perlane®, or Juvéderm®.

A: No. Unlike permanent fillers, Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm® are completely dissolved. Over time, injected material is broken down and eliminated by the body, leaving absolutely no trace behind.
